A bit about me
The early days...
First and foremost I am very enthusiastic and passionate about rare classic cars with wonderful history and have spent the past 10 years working across all sectors of the classic car industry.
Before leaving my full-time job to launch CARVAULT CO, I worked as a classic car specialist for one of Europe’s leading auction houses for classic and collector cars. Experiencing first hand from Coys and Bonhams the importance of provenance and condition was invaluable for me.
My early experience of classic cars started by working for the highly respected classic and race car dealer in South Kensington, West London 'Fiskens' as an intern working across all areas of the business. This taste of the industry fuelled my passion and interest leading me to wanting to get stuck in and hands on before leading to working in the sale of these magnificent machines.
This started with around 3 years working in restoration and race preparation of Aston Martins for Goldsmith & Young. Here I was thrown in at the deep end doing engine rebuilds for DB2's, DB4's, DB5's, DB6's, DB4 GT's, V8's and more. I also worked in the chassis and suspension department, bodywork, electrics, interiors and race preparation. To say this gave me a 'crash course' in mechanics in a very short time would be an understatement.
Working in this fascinating and broad industry has developed my key understanding of the value of originality, authenticity and provenance in guaranteeing optimum sale price as well as what to look out for when buying these cars, specifically Aston Martins from the David Brown era and Porsche's from the 60's up until modern day.

Selling my first car
Since Joining Coys of Kensington in April of 2013 as 'Showroom Manager', I sold my first car within the first 4 weeks of joining; a Black 1937 Riley Sprite. From there I went on to sell numerous others and in just over a year I climbed the ranks and joined the auction department as a classic car specialist in December 2014.
After spending time in the auction department I saw an opportunity to bring something new to the industry and quit to start and launch CARVAULT.IO, a digital history platform to digitise and document classic cars and make them more accessible. After a few years this evolved into what CARVAULT CO is now.
