Originally delivered new to its first owner a Mr. S Clarkson of PB Development in Aberdeen sourced by Aberdeen Porsche Centre on the 1st August 1996. The car resided locally to the original owner in the Aberdeenshire county of Scotland between 4 owners until passing to a Mr. Steve Simpson in Nottingham who acquired the car from Autobahn Porsche Specialists, Coventry on the 16th November 2005. Mr Simpson was a member of Porsche Club GB East Midlands it would appear as he entered the car in the 2007 Porsche Pageant & Regional Concours at Chatsworth House where the C4S was awarded 90/100 points. Mr Simpson then sold the car to Paul Devyea Porsche specialists in Sevenoaks, Kent where it’s current owner fell in love with the car and purchased it on the 11th August 2015 for £74,995 when the car had 46,614 miles recorded.

Recent Works

This C4S has been treated to a regular maintenance schedule averaging a service every 1.25 years and 2,330 miles over the period of its 25 years on the road. The original Porsche service book shows a total of 18 stamps, 10 of which are Porsche Main Dealers and the rest are independent specialists.

The most recent service was a proper 48k mile service done by Porsche specialists Wrightune in Wallingford, Oxfordshire who carried out a ‘Full’ service including gearbox oil change, all spark plugs replaced, new front wishbone bushes, new front ball joints, new Bilstein front shock absorbers, new tie rod arms, new rear bottom control arm, new front brake disks, new front brake pads, new ignition leads, engine V belts, new rotor arms and distributor caps, brake fluid change and 4 wheel alignment. This major service came in at £10,262.39.

Mechanically the car now drives exactly as it should, the somewhat small figure of 282 horsepower today feels closer to 400 bhp. The engine roars into life on the key and on the right road screams up to 7,000 RPM in what feels like a flash. It handle’s with absolute precision and stops within a matter of feet thanks to the new brakes and new Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres all round.
